Jun 07, 2008 · 2011-03-14 – Update: Please make sure to first try the automated fix provided by Microsoft in the knowledge base article (look for the “Fix it” icon). Recently I had issues with Windows Vista where it would get on a network, but would only have local access (i.e. “Access: Local only” in the Network and Sharing Center).

May 17, 2009 · Vista Wireless "Unidentified Network Access: Local Only"? I was using my laptop with internet perfectly fine and stuff and then it went to the Limited Access and then to unidentified network with local . only. and the weird thing is the same network works fine in safe mode but not in normal mode.
